Our Customer Service team delivers effortless customer experiences for customers, communities and citizens of Tāmaki Makarau. We provide the first point of contact for customers across the four main customer channels: face-to-face, telephone, written correspondence and online. We provide the community with a convenient and readily accessible point of contact 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

We currently have multiple full-time positions available.  These are 40 hours per week with work patterns being between Monday to Sunday and 7am to 7pm.

Where do you come in?

We want someone who is motivated to work for Auckland Council.  Someone who will share in the vision to make Auckland the world’s most liveable city, and want to be a part of making that happen.

You will bring with you at least 3 years’ experience in a call centre or customer service environment along with demonstrated knowledge and practice of customer service principles. Your excellent communication skills will enable your ability to engage with our customers in a respectful and courteous manner.   Your great research and problem solving skills will be the key to your success in this role. You will have the ability to easily pick up new systems and processes and be confident in your delivery of them. We want people who are dedicated to making every interaction count, who are change ready and who are not afraid to share their innovative ideas and enjoy working in a team environment that is busy and fast paced. Reliability and resilience are a must!
