Hot off the press!

CCNNZ Virtual Online Training Students have started to graduate and are “Employment Ready NOW”
As most of you are already aware, just 6 weeks ago… the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) embarked on a new partnership with CCNNZ, Learning Planet and Phone Plus to help provide educational support to people that had been affected by the onset of economic effects of COVID-19.
The purpose of our partnership was to create an opportunity for other industry workers that had already lost their job or were about to be made redundant to gain an entry level qualification into our contact centre industry. We collaborated to deliver a unique as well as fully certified online training course to help improve confidence and develop a full suite of customer service and associated skills.
We kicked off in April, and launched our first Online Virtual Contact Centre Training Group with our pilot batch of 12 trainees.
Since its launch, CCNNZ have had more than three hundred applications from a full range of diverse backgrounds, all wanting to gain new skills and knowledge from our course to help them find a role within our industry. These applications included people from both the hospitality and travel industries who want to start anew.
Our course includes a raft of modules and assessments including an introduction to contact centres, customer service excellence coaching, inbound and outbound telephone skills along with resilience and stress management.
By the time we finish our pilot; we will have coached and nurtured in excess of 60 graduates. We have fantastic news to share in that we have already placed over half of our first group and are looking to find roles for the remaining groups as they graduate over the next 1-2 weeks.
